"As Judge of Probate I see people during times of great distress and grief. They must be treated with kindness, respect, and dignity. Whether carrying out an adoption or the painful decision to conserve a loved one, while I’m on the bench, I promise your rights will be kept sacred." ~ Judge Max L. Rosenberg.
It’s important to know your Judge will treat you with honor and respect. Speed, fairness, and equity are corner stones of the office.
Max L. Rosenberg will protect those values we all hold dear.
Judge Rosenberg presides over issues regarding the guardianship of people with intellectual disabilities, elder-care related issues, appointing conservators to serve and protect the finances and health of people in a variety of situations needing this assistance. Judge Rosenberg also oversees adoptions, name changes, and guardianships for minors as well as all estate and will related matters.
Nobody likes going to Probate Court. Most times if you are in Probate Court, someone you love has passed, or needs help with their daily life decisions. During this stressful time, it’s important to know you have a Judge who will treat you and your situation with honor and respect. Speed, efficiency, fairness and humanity are corner stones of the office. Max L. Rosenberg will protect those values we all hold dear.
Judge Max L. Rosenberg has served for four years as Probate Judge for Stratford, Connecticut, District 47. In a life filled with blessings, this has been one of his greatest, surpassed only by the births of his two sons, Zohar (age 15) and Asher (age 14) and his wedding, to the love of his life, Osi Rosenberg.
The Rosenbergs have made Lordship their home since 2004. Max is Managing Partner of the full-service law firm, Rosenberg, Whewell, & Hite, LLC since its inception in 2007. Max fills every other minute working to improve his community and seeking those who need his assistance. Rather than an occupation, his primary ethic of compassion has guided him to this vocation. It is the best method he knows to be able to minister to his community.
On the weekends, Max is often volunteering with his family helping in beach cleanups, sea grass planting, serving breakfast at the Pyramid Shrine with the Connecticut DeMolay, or at an event through the Scouts BSA. You may spot him serving at the Lord’s Kitchen or working on a project for the Bethlehem House with Judge F. Paul Kurmay. Max is a member of America St. John’s Lodge #8, the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, Pyramid Shriners #9, and the local Moose Lodge through which he enjoys participating in all the various community service and good works which they provide. Max is also proud to honor veterans and the memory of his grandfather with a life membership at the Stratford VFW 9460 Auxiliary.
Max has a passion for tag sales and loves to spend time meeting new people. He is an avid reader and writer and has several unpublished works. Max’s talent for painting led to his art being profiled in The Probate Press and his works were on display at Nates Plates in Milford in November 2021. Max is a music enthusiast who loves to sing, play harmonica and participating on the Facebook Group Quarantine Karaoke.
He has published several decisions in the Connecticut Quinnipiac Probate Journal. Judge Rosenberg hopes to continue to serve in this capacity for the next four years. You may see him walking his dogs, Archimedes, Eureka, and Ambrosius around Stratford, while wearing his favorite fedora, singing to himself and enjoying Tag-Sale season.
